Gippsland Inspired a festive Harvest month of food, wine and arts celebration throughout the region.
Feast On East 2008 is focused on regional flood recovery celebrations. Patrons can FEAST ON the best of regional food and wines in selected restaurants, cafes and bars around Eastern Gippsland and enter into the regional spirit with musicians, performers, cooks and chefs.
Visual and performing artists from throughout Eastern Gippsland bring new energy and imagination to the festival and the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) graduates excite audiences with their comedy, skilful acrobatics and magic. Visual artists on show in venues across the region capture East Gippsland as a rich source of food, wine and inspiration.
Meet the growers, artists, wine-makers and chefs. Experience the quality of fresh country produce and cooking, taste distinctive regional wines, seafood, cheeses, beef, lamb and hand-made chocolates. There are opportunities to learn the art of cooking old-fashioned country sponges and to taste CWA country cooking at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and Parade.
The strong community of Lindenow, so heavily ravaged by fires and floods, are showcasing their ‘paddock to plate’ quality growers, producers, pickers, processors and manufacturers at the unique Lindenow Farmer’s pub.
